“When it went to deadlock, we thought that it could be either of them because Stevi’s a great entertainer,” said Only The Young’s Mikey Bromley, 19. “I didn’t expect either of them to be in the bottom two but to be honest, there’s so few of us left now, the crown could be anyone’s,” said 18-year-old Betsy-Blue English. The four-piece band, who avoided landing in the bottom two last week following their Jungle Book rendition, admitted they weren’t expecting Stevi Ritchie OR Jay James to have to sing for their place in the competition. What, so they’re not even allowed to support each other now?! Pffft. That’s because they all rallied behind Stevi after last weekend’s sing-off, apparently. “We had that video message from Simon saying that we’re all too friendly and it wasn’t a competition,” said OTY’s Charlie George. Speaking to us at the Frozen Sing-A-Long launch at London’s Royal Albert Hall in the video below, they told us that the head judge slammed them via video message for being too friendly to one another off-camera. The judge brought out his inner Mr Nasty by reminding them that it’s a competition and NOT to make friends, according to group Only The Young. It sounds like Simon Cowell had some rather harsh words for The X Factor contestants.
